Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) into electricity will provide a source for renewable baseload power necessary in the new energy mix. With overall increase in energy consumption and depletion of conventional “fossil” based fuel sources, OTEC can provide a solution to provide price certainty and independence from imported fuels.

Seawater Air Conditioning (SWAC) gives utilities the possibility to offer a new product to their customers. Cooling can be distributed and metered to individual users via district cooling systems. SWAC systems can save over 90% of the electricity costs associated with standard air conditioning units.

Fresh water production via innovative thermal desalination methods can be coupled to OTEC facilities to provide an additional source of potable water.
